Not All Heroes Wear Capes

AmaSing

Cheshire, Wirral, North Wales, Liverpool and abroad

We are a small arts organisation/ charity foundation that works collaboratively with all educational establishments and professional artists to enhance children's wellbeing through music and arts. All our arts projects, workshops and performances are all led by amazing arts specialists in Cheshire, North Wales and The Wirral and expanding into Conwy, Denbighshire Liverpool and Manchester. We also connect with schools abroad in countries such as Georgia, India, Spain and Australia.

During the pandemic we haven’t stopped working and have continued to employ many amazing musicians and arts specialists reaching over 6000 children in school bubbles and at home isolating and also have reached new schools abroad. We have written new songs in online workshops, ran wellbeing singing sessions, delivered arts and composing workshops in our huge spiderdome tent so school bubbles can come outside and work in a safe well ventilated area and also ran online shows. During lockdown we held online composing workshops led by composer Andrew J Smith with key workers and children from UK and abroad and together they created a song together called “Not all heroes wear capes” We created a film of them singing it and raised money for the local hospital with it. This is the film we have submitted for Music for Youth to see below.

This video shows some of the children, key workers who have been part of creating this song with composer Andrew smith in online composing sessions which was written during lockdown and dedicated to all key workers who have worked tirelessly through the pandemic. This song has been sung by over 6000 children in our AmaSing online show in October and will be a new song for all our shows in 2021 where thousands of children will perform it again. This song was released and money raised to support "The Blue Skies Balcony Appeal" at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Dr Ravi introduces it and also sings on the song too.
